Rattling Brook Bluegrass Festival

Saturday the 18th, 2005

The Rattlin’ Brook Bluegrass Festival celebrates their 20th year. With the serene mountain views as the stage’s backdrop, if you like bluegrass, this is an event not to miss. Bands performing this year included The Original Rattling Brook Bluegrass Band. They told the story of how they were given a barn to dismantle and use for the construction of the stage. The love and dedication for bluegrass inspired them to establish this annual event. The festival proceeds rain or shine so the covered stage is a must. In the crowd many annual attendees had the foresight to bring their own covering because as we know, you can’t predict the weather in Vermont.

While it did rain for a little while the show was great. The pavilion next to the snack bar provided shelter to those who didn’t want to get wet. This gave people a chance to grab a bite to eat. The snack bar serves the basics, fries, burgers, drinks and fried dough.

Bring the entire family up to Belvedere and bring your chairs, picnic in the filed and play Frisbee in the back. There is really something for everyone that loves bluegrass music.
